Lurkers! Come Out And Say Hello!
No really…it’s safe. Honest.
Bonnie from My Bottom Smarts has been running this thing every year for for five years called Love Our Lurkers day. The idea is to encourage the regular readers to speak up and say hello.
I’m not sure Spanking Blog has ever participated. The thing is, it struck me as a blog meme thing, and i’m incredibly resistant to those. But it’s also a damned good idea, and I try not to be resistant to those.
So if you’re a lurker, say hello in the comments today, please! I’d love to hear from you.

It is safe to come out? How boring.
But this blog here is definitely not boring. I like it a lot, which is why I lurk here fairly frequently, even though it has been some time since I last commented on something.
Happy LOL day! I agree with you that not all blog memes should be joined in, but this is a good one.
To be fair to Bonnie, I should explain that I always thought LOL day was an excellent idea and only a little memeish — I just didn’t participate because I am a curmudgeon who doesn’t play well with others.

Hi Spank Boss I think you and site are absolutely the BEST. I have been a bonified lurker for over 6 years, I cant rememember exactly how long, However I have never ever comment even once. I think this whole De Lurker thing is a good thing, I could comment but I just usually dont do it. When I start to go on the air as they used to say in radio I freeze up and can’t get it out. But everybody is talking today so I am talking too. I really do like this site it is the only one I have followed as a regular.
