Chross would like to know who Al Siegel is spanking in this picture. He thinks he’s already ruled out Ethel Merman:

    If I am not mistaken she looks like a young Maria Callas the opera singer.

    Mhm. There is some resemblance, but la Callas had thicker eyebrows and no beauty spot on her left cheek. Also there is no obvious connection between those two; Al had nothing to do with the Opera as far as I can see. The age difference would be roughly 20 years.
