They have been running a book called “Life with Archie” for the last few years about grown up Archie that did just have an issue where he was killed. This is also the book that explored three different timelines of him getting married (Betty, Veronica, and Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats) and has basically explored several different timelines and such. That book is, I believe, over with Archie’s death.
However, they are still publishing both the normal Archie book (with the gang still in perpetual teenhood) as well as Archie Comics #1 selling title, Afterlife with Archie, which is, believe it or not, an ongoing Archie zombie comic book.
But, at any rate, Archie Andrews is, in their main timeline, still alive and well.
"...a heavy round wooden paddle with a hole in the middle that leaves fearsome red bruises. And then the shaking girls with beaten butts and tearful faces receive another terrible punishment..."
Heard that the comic book publishers that own the rights to Archie are going to kill him off.
Not exactly.

Thanks, Brian. I’m not a comics guy myself, but I was curious about that!
