Hazing The New Members
The women were aware that the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union local chapter in their town had a very strict policy of rigorous interviews for women seeking to join the union. Some in the community would openly call the process “hazing”, but nobody was ever willing to be very specific. These three women were almost laughing when the camera flash went off, thinking the worst was over:
