I am not sure if you know, but that’s actually a guy “tart’s” ass.
Just found it unusual, since for the most part you post spanked girls.
Wait, is the fact that you posted it on April 1st somehow related?
I don’t know whether you’re making a claim about biological sex or about self-chosen gender identity, but in either case, it’s unclear what evidence might underlie your claim, or why you might care. I certainly don’t…
“what evidence might underlie your claim”
The Tumblr link you provided has the subtitle:
“Experimental photographer. All my posts are of me by me”
Combined with the clear presence of a penis in the other photos leads to the statement I made.
As far as the author’s self identity, all the information I have is “Tart” + “photographer”
“I certainly don’t [care]…”
Far be it for me to tell you what you can or can’t post on your blog. But in the past when you posted something that was a departure from the typical expectations of you community, (I don’t just mean guys being punished, but blood/heavy bruising/tied breasts turning blue/etc.) You usually comment on the fact that it is outside what we have come to associate with your blog.
I appreciate such comments, and posted just in case it was a detail that you simply overlooked.
“why you might care?”
Well, honestly, because it is a turn off for me that breaks me out of the daydream.
When I fantasize, as I often do when browsing your site, I typically imagine myself in place of any of the guys involved. In this case I had to stop and investigate why my brain refused to find the above subject ‘sexy’ in the same way as most of the pictures on this blog.
By the way, I do want to thank you for this blog. I have been lurking since 2006.
Alright, so you’ve got extrinsic evidence of an invisible penis, which is evidence of biological sex, which you extrapolate to “guy” — a linguistic tag associated with male gender, which is not necessarily at all the same thing. Hence my confusion.
To explain where I’m coming from: Invisible penises don’t bother me. To me, the bottom in question isn’t shaped in a way that screams a biological sex or a gender identity, so I didn’t figure it would bother anybody whose spanking kink is narrowly focused within sex or gender categories. I guess I got that part wrong.
It’s true that normally I do post “spanked girls” as you put it. But I’m willing to take people as they come, to an extent. This person self-describes as a tart, they post a spanked-bottom photo that doesn’t have any penises in it that would break the fantasy for me, I don’t have any problem in passing that photo along at face value, as it were. I guess I’m sorry if that’s a problem for folks who need their categories defined more rigidly. Honestly I’m not sure I have the time to go delving into every Tumblr that I look at to interrogate the “true” biological sex of the people posting spanked bottom pics there, and (even though I know I’m an old fashioned person with old fashioned gender politics) I’m more than a little bit afraid that it would be pretty offensive if I tried to do that. I think this is maybe one of those situations where I can’t hope to please everybody?
Thanks for explaining where you’re coming from; I hope this helps explain in turn my dilemma.
I think we got off on the wrong foot.
I honestly didn’t actually mean to make it sound like criticism, and fully understand where you are coming from.
I
1 – was just surprised that my “monkey brain” could tell the difference when my conscious mind couldn’t
2 – could see you post this as a good natured “gotcha” for April fool’s
3 – became curious if that was the case, or if I noticed something that you simply overlooked
As far as the pathos that surrounds the topic of gender identity, I only ever saw it be an issue online.
With the two non-binary people that I knew directly – one hermaphrodite girl who was fine with the choice that her parents and the doctor made when she was born – and an XXY chromosome guy that took some hormones as a teen – never made more of it than something to share to get to know each other better.
But I am aware of the minefield that it has become, with one misstep able to make total strangers hate your guts. I understand where you’re coming from, and fully empathize with you needing to stay impartial.
Now for some lighter banter… I have been searching for the name of the movie I saw a spanking scene from.
It takes place in a school with a strict dress code (pleated skirts and everything) where there is some supernatural secret on the top floor, young female teacher is furious that someone was sneaking up there. One girl takes the blame for another and gets a brutal canning with a yardstick ruler (I think) then the girl she saved heals her battered behind in a changing room while the four of them make plans and the healer girl explains that she can’t heal the blindness a third girl was born with.
It was well made for a B movie, as far as production value, with that CW feel to it.
Yeah, I expect we did, so let me explain more of why from my perspective. Sometimes I encounter people who think they can “just tell” that somebody who presents as one gender “isn’t really”; and your first comment sort of made me think you might be one of those people. Obviously we’re past that now, but you might understand why I’d be unwelcoming to that perspective.
In truth, I was aware that the photo was ambiguous when I posted it. I wasn’t receptive, absent evidence, to the assertion that it was unambiguous in any direction. I hope you can understand why!
As for the Spanking Blog editorial policy, which I understand you were not criticizing, it’s maybe a bit more flexible than you thought it was. The spanking kink overall tends to be a bit relentlessly M/f, except of course for the M/m part that the M/f part doesn’t want to see with a relentless homophobic horror, and of course for all the cheap F/f stuff that the old-school pornographers churn out because it’s cheaper and safer and easier to produce even though the market for it is somewhat anemic, and then again all the better F/f stuff that the indy pornographers put out because it’s what some part of their audience truly wants to see, and then again all the complicated genderqueer stuff that some of the other indy pornographers put out. But let’s not confuse things; most of the spanking kink is relentlessly M/f and most of my own spanking kink is too. So that’s what I mostly post here.
But I’m not convinced that’s entirely a good thing, for myself or for the spanking porn market or for the spanking community as a whole, which I think ought to be a bit more intersectional and mutually supportive. So I try to be at least a little bit diverse. And when I get blowback about my efforts at being a little bit diverse, I can get grumpy about that. I understand that’s not what was happening here … but maybe you can see how it might have seemed so at first?
"...the girls are prepared in the reformatory’s punishment room, naked, lying on their backs on special benches, bound with their legs spread above their heads, shamefully showing the two holes usually hidden..."
