I don’t know if the Japanese watermark on this caning impact shot reflects the image source, or whether it’s the watermark for some random image-sharing site. But the impact photo itself is pretty spectacular!

    Maybe it’s just me me, or maybe it’s just a fluke, but I can’t get this image to load.

    I can see the webarchive “Caned and Plugged” one, though.

    Huh! Showing for me. Sometimes the IA has weird caching stuff going on; their storage is so huge, I suspect them of pulling things from large slow storage arrays if it hasn’t been viewed lately. I’ve experienced failures that were gone on a different day. So, maybe try again? Other than that, I’m out of ideas.
