Whip Dita… If You Dare!
The cover of the Spring 1993 issue of National Lampoon featured a mean-looking blonde with red lipstick, who is lounging on a bed in full/ridiculous sex shop patent-leather-and-chains dominatrix gear. An off-screen man is holding the handle of a whip that’s wrapped around her neck and the reader is exhorted to “Buy this magazine or we’ll whip Dita! (Consensually, of course.)” My thought is that Dita looks like she’s about to take that whip handle away from the guy who’s holding it and, ah, store it deeply and well in some tender receptacle amidst his anatomy, consensually or otherwise:
